May so far

May 2016:

This girl has been so much happier (and so have we) now that she is walking!  Also, her latest well check up shows that she is 96% for height and weight.  That means she is the size of an average 2 year old.  Her pediatrician says that is what she calls a thriving baby.  Good news!  She also can say a few words:  Mama, Dada, Andrew (An-doo!), hop, up, boo, grandpa (papa), grandma (mmm-ma), and uh-oh.  We are just enjoying her so much :)

Can you guess whose house we are at?
Evelyn has no problem telling me when she wants yogurt
Dress-up is a favorite activity in this house.  Here Sylvia is a 'wolf ballerina.'
No explanation needed ;)
Why is she laughing?  Because this is what the floor looks like after every meal and she knows I detest cleaning it up!
Sylvia is 4!  May 15 was the big day.  Grandma Huizinga gave her a new dress and Andrew just had to be in the picture too.

All three of my children riding bikes.  I just love this picture!

The girls had a tea party today in the backyard.  Of course that means water and animal crackers :)

Spring break, Andrew's birthday, and just plain silliness!

Poor Andrew turned 6 a few weeks ago and I am just now updating the blog. Busy life and sickness are to blame!

For spring break we took the kids for a quick trip to Chicago.  First stop:  Legoland!

Then off to the hotel to go for a swim in the pool (probably the kids favorite part of the whole trip).
The following day we met Uncle Matt at Shedd's Aquarium.  The penguins captured the kids attention the most.

On April 7, Andrew turned 6.  He wanted to spend some time at Meijer Gardens to see the butterflies.  We had such a good time.

Back at home we had pizza, cake, and presents!

(Sylvia's photobomb...makes me chuckle :)

...and the back
Sick Evelyn giving Dada some good snugs
But after a few days her goofiness returns!

March 2016

Oh siblings. They love each other one minute and then fight the next. I love these next few pictures of the kids actually getting along :)

Easter!
Chocolate for breakfast.  Yum!

Evelyn didn't know what to think about her chocolate bunny.  She talked to it.  Played with it.  I actually had to show her that she could eat it.  Love that girl!

End of February

I love this picture: my three kids watching cartoons and eating cereal together...all in a row. So cute!
Evelyn's days of taking a bath in the kitchen sink are coming to an end.  She is just so stinkin' cute

Sweet girl with a big smile :)

A Valentine's Day gift.  The kids loved them and I got a lot of good pictures.

We recently bought a used piano.  Andrew has always wanted one and he spends a lot of time on it.  Now we just need to set up some piano lessons, though he plays beautiful music on his own and is good at sounding out songs by himself.
The end of February brought two big snow storms.  Andrew and Sylvia made a snowman all by themselves.

Fun in a box
Evelyn playing with a juice lid.  Such a funny girl.
