hands and feet

More milestones for Andrew: He has been noticing his hands and feet. He plays with his hands quite a bit. He has also been able to grip and play with toys much better. I love to watch him play with this rattle because he is always surprised when it moves and makes noise.

Andrew's Baptism

Andrew Jon was baptized on July 18!! Praise be to God!!

As anxious parents, we were wondering how Andrew would do during baptism. Lately, he's been pretty fussy during the day and we were praying he'd behave for just long enough! Andrew started out so well, but with each passing praise song at the beginning of the service, we knew we were on borrowed time!! But Andrew did just fine. I won't show the whole video, but he was just plain enamored with the pastor -- he couldn't take his eyes off her! The whole congregation laughed! He would have made it the whole time without crying, but some holy water made it into his eyes -- I can't really blame him for crying!!

Whitecaps

We brought Andrew to his first baseball game on Saturday. Daddy has been wanting to do this for a long time (shall we say, about 13 weeks?). This seems to be a dream for most men and their sons. Andrew did quite well and lasted about 2 hours. Aren't we cool parents? Letting him stay up 2 hours past his bed time? We paid for it the next day but it was worth it!

Smiling, cooing, and kicking

Andrew has become a lot more interactive over the past month. He's able to respond to people when they talk to him by smiling, cooing, and kicking. Enjoy!

Hollyhock Parade

We took Andrew to his first parade today, the Hollyhock Parade which is right in our neighborhood. He had a great time as you can see :)

He supported his favorite politician...

And he enjoyed waving the American flag.














In reality, he fell asleep right when the parade started and woke up when it ended. We'll try again next year!
