Giggles!

It's always funny to see what makes a baby laugh. In the first video, mommy took a mirror and reflected the sunlight onto the ceiling. In the second, she spun some nail clippers. We could have shown you at least 5 straight minutes of giggling, but I'm sure you'll smile along with a minute of giggles.

Frederik Meijer Gardens

Frederik Meijer Gardens has their butterfly exhibit going on right now, so of course we had to check that out. Andrew and I took Grandpa Huizinga along too. We spent some time outside as well but it was a bit chillier than we had anticipated.

Can you find Andrew by the big horse?

We put him by the children's entrance to the kids part of the park. He obviously didn't realize he could just open the gate...he tried to gnaw his way through instead :)

March Madness

We caught a few more cute pictures of Andrew that we just had to share:

Showing off his newest ability of being able to stand by himself for a few seconds. He uses his walker to balance more than walk at this point

Spending more time outside and loving it! Spring is in the air :)

Both of my boys having a rough day...'Da-da' is exhausted from tax season and Andrew was coming down with a cold. So they decided to relax & unwind by watching a Baby Einstein video.

More snugs for Ryan...Andrew is just loving his Dad these days

Just being cute...

11 months

There is not much new to report in the VanderKamp household except that Andrew is 11 months today. The first few months of his life, time seemed to move so slowly (probably because we were so exhausted!). But now when we look back and realize that our son is almost a year, we can't believe it! Probably the biggest change we have seen in Andrew lately as that he is asserting his independence more, especially when it comes to food. Baby food will soon be a thing of the past as he insists on eating what we are eating.

Andrew enjoys bedtime stories with his Dad

Scooting backwards & getting stuck under the table

Figuring out a new toy

Ready for church

Enjoying 'grown-up' food...a lot!
